The Legend Of THE WALL

This day I would never forget. Rahul Dravid is going to retire is what I was hearing, reading, seeing since yesterday. But I did not want to believe it. My mind was saying ‘yes! This is probably right’ but my heart just could not bear the possibility of not having Dravid around playing, fighting, winning and saving test matches for India. So I was eagerly waiting for today’s press conference, hoping against hope that this conference might be for some different reasons (though my brain couldn’t think of any). But that was not to be the case and Dravid indeed announced his retirement today. Retirement of Rahul Dravid has left a big, very big void in, not only team india but also in every cricket lovers life. I started following Cricket since 1996. And it is no surprise that Dravid made his debut in that year. I still remember that day, I, 7 years old then, watching a live match with all my friends on TV. Power Of Love- By Sudha Murthy

Sharing the article I came across and really loved reading- It was in Pune that I met Narayan Murty through my friend Prasanna who is now the Wipro chief, who was also training in Telco (TataMotors) . Most of the books that Prasanna lent me had Murty's name on them which meant that I had a preconceived image of the man. Contrary to expectation, Murty was shy,bespectacled and an introvert. When he invited us for dinner. I was  a bit taken aback as I thought the young man was making a very fast move. I refused since I was the only girl in the group. But Murty was relentless and we all decided to meet for dinner the next day at 7.30 p.m .. at Green Fields hotel on the Main Road ,Pune. The next day I went there at 7' o ! clock since I had to go to the tailor near the hotel. And what do I see? Mr. Murty waiting in front of the hotel and it was only seven. My Thoughts on OMG! Oh My God and English Vinglish

OMG!Oh My God-  It is epitome of how to handle highly sensitive subject without creating controversy. Story of a man questioning very existence of god himself? Filing case against top Religious places? Seriously, no subject could have been more sensitive and dangerous than this, especially in India where Possibility of people’s religious sentiments getting hurt is more than monsoon missing its schedule. The way directed has handled it is simply great. Story starts on slow note, taking its time to elaborate Kanji bhai's (Paresh Rawal) skepticism towards existence of god. Writer/Director combo has made every effort to make reasons for Kanji Bhai's legal battle against god digestible. Doing that they have also succeeded some serious issues going on in society in the name of God. This movie is capable of making even a hardcore religious man to ponder about good and bad things going around in the name of religion. For me that's the greatest success of this movie.

My Thoughts on Ek Tha Tiger- Tiger Tiger Tiger… Kahani BLOCKBUSTER Hai… !!!!

Story - Story of the film is not a path breaking instead its very simple and straight forward. The best agent of a secret service falls in love with a girl and wants to run away from his spy life. Execution - All praise should go to Kabir Khan for this. Story like ETT, though looks simple on a paper, is harder to execute in front of camera. The key part in a screenplay is always going to be the love story part and success of the screenplay going to be hinged upon the way Kabir blends love story in an action film. (And to be honest I was little skeptical about this part) But oh boy! Kabir has handled this key part extremely well.  Agent-meets-a girl-falls-in-love part is handled in an entertaining fashion and quite briefly without compromising the pace of the story. Action Scenes - Mindblowing!!! Never seen before in a Hindi film. And on par with Hollywood films.  Pure treat for action lovers. My Thoughts on THE AVENGERS

It is difficult to handle 2 lead characters in a movie,( just have a look at bollywood multi-starrers for example) so how can someone manage to assemble not two, not three, total six lead characters and that too Superheroes in a single movie and hope for success??? Director Joss Whedon not only manages but does it so brilliantly. ‘The Avengers’ starts with very unconventional way- at least for a superhero movie- with slow pace, building a plot brick by brick,  introducing all characters simplistic way. There is not much over-the-top action in first half(that’s being more than compensated in last half). What keeps audiences interested in first half is strong performance of leads (especially Robert D Junior), lots of humor, and anticipation of forthcoming events. ‘The Avengers’ starts justifying its superhero genre in last half, and till the end it becomes an-example-to-imitate for all future superhero movies. My Thoughts On a Book 'Immortals Of Meluha'

As a big fan of fiction books, it was my wish to read a fantasy fiction book written by an Indian author. But, for many years that wish of mine remained unrealized and unfulfilled. However, few months back out of the blue, I happened to came across a book named ‘Immortals of Meluha’. And oh dear! What a book written by author named Amish Tripathi. The Immortals of Meluha   is the first novel of the   Shiva   trilogy series by   Amish Tripathi. The story takes place in the imaginary land of   Meluha   and how they are saved from their wars by a nomad named Shiva.   It begins with the Meluhan king   Daksha   inviting tribes to stay at his country, one of them being Shiva's tribe. They soon come to recognize Shiva as their fabled savior called Neelkanth , after he devours Somras, a legendary healing potion, which turns his throat blue. My Thoughts on AGNEEPATH (2012)…

****Spoilers**** (Read only if you are the one who have watched the movie or you are the one who don’t mind if someone spoils your party. :D  ) If say, somehow I did not happen to know that this AGNEEPATH movie is actually a remake of old movie of 1980s, I would have guessed it perfectly right after the end of climax fight sequence. Such are the scenes in this movie that follow exact same path of old 1980s movies. Movie starts in a village ‘Mandawa’ showing Vijay’s (Hrithik Roshan) childhood life and his relation with his father and how main villain Kaancha (Sanjay Dutt) murders his father. This part is actually well executed and builds the platform for revenge perfectly. Then movie follows the regular path of how Vijay creates his presence in Mumbai mafia world with the help of Rauf Lala (Rishi Kapoor), who is apparently the arch enemy of Kaancha, and rise to the power with the only motive of seeking revenge against Kaancha.
